Armed Forces Week is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to service families, veterans, and cadets.

During Armed Forces week cadets are given the opportunity to show their respects by attending the Blackpool Cenotaph Memorial Service. During this religious figures, military personal and veterans express their views on war, conflict and peace of modern and past eras of the world in a moving service at the Cenotaph.

Squadrons across the Fylde coast area are invited and encouraged to attend. Over 50 Air Cadets joined the other Cadet Forces to show their individual respect, and also as a representative of their respective Cadet Force. Its a spectacular event which Cadets will remember for many years. Cadet Newbury said,

Marching around the cenotaph itself was something I never thought of doing in my life, it was amazing!

All around there were a lot of smiles and definitely one for the memory bank for the community and the squadron.
