Burns Night has become a popular fund raising event for Poulton Community Hall and this year the Squadron was invited to help out.

Hosted by Squadron President County Councillor Alf Clempson, the popular event included poetry, music and a 3 course meal. The Cadets served the meal to about 100 members of the community and cleaned up afterwards, all with a massive smile. There was no argueing about who was going to fill the diswasher!

It was a fantastic experience, really interesting. I had never witnessed the 'Address to the Haggis' before and was surprised at it's energy - Councillor Clempson was really good at it.

The event was a huge success, making almost £1000 for the Community Hall and the Squadron was presented with a donation of £100 for their support. We would like to thank Councillor Clempson for his invitation and look forward to offering our support next year.
